Upcoming Changes to Our Trading Platform

On March 1st, 2020 Globtrex will switch from the Indigo Trader Platform to MetaTrader 5.

January 31st

Clients will no longer be able to open new trading positions, however any current positions will remain open.

February 29th

Indigo Trader’s final operating day – all positions will automatically be closed and the account will be terminated.

Accounts With
Open Positions

If a client has any open positions, Globtrex is unable to update their account. The client will need to close all trades and manually switch their account, or contact support.

Accounts With No
Open Positions

If a client has no open positions but has funds in their account, Globtrex will automatically transfer funds to clients’ MT5 account and close the Indigo Trader account.

Accounts With No
Current Balance

If a client has no open positions and no funds in their account, they will not have to do anything other than login to MT5 with the same credentials as Indigo Trader.

How to Switch Your Account to MT5

Clients With an MT5 Account

If you have funds in your Indigo Trader account you will need to transfer them to MT5.

  1. Login to your Indigo Trader Account, ensure you have no open positions
  2. In the top right corner, open the My Account menu
  3. Select Funds Transfer
  4. Enter your total account balance, then select Indigo Trader (CFD) for Origin Account and MT5 for Destination Account
  5. Login to MT5 with the same credentials as your Indigo Trader Account

If you do not have funds in your account, all you will need to do is login to MT5 with the same credentials as your Indigo Trader account.

Clients Without an MT5 Account

  1. Login to your Indigo Trader Account, ensure you have no open positions
  2. In the top right corner, open the My Account menu
  3. In the drop down menu, select My Accounts, then Create New Account
  4. Select Real Account and the currency that best suits your needs, then click Create
  5. If you have funds in your account you will then need to select Funds Transfer
  6. Enter your total account balance, then select Indigo Trader (CFD) for Origin Account and MT5 for Destination Account
  7. You will receive an email with MT5 login details, however your credentials will remain the same
